Microfilm and microfiche scanning

Microfilm /microfiche/aperture card scanning - microfilming was the original process for reducing the storage of paper documents but this still involved filing and storing in cabinets with manual searching to find a specific file. It also had to be handled with care and stored in a particular climatic environment, otherwise it would deteriorate.

Converting microfilm, microfiche or aperture cards to digital image makes retrieval of files quick and easy. The digital image can then be output into PDF, TIF, J-PEG or virtually any other format required. Maintenance of microfilm readers and printers is no longer necessary, also eliminating all those filing cabinets and freeing up storage space for more productive use.
