Document Scanning Services
Document scanning can sometimes conjure up images of
small flat bed scanners or multi-function devices that take one piece of
paper at a time. Not so with high
speed production scanners; these are capable of processing thousands of
sheets a day!
Ultrasonic double-feed detectors ensure that all documents are scanned.

High speed/volume production scanners are capable of document scanning from
business card size up to A3 size paper.
Any larger documents are scanned on the large format
scanners.
High speed/volume production scanners are capable of document scanning in
black and white, grey scale or full colour; single page or
duplex.
Our high speed scanners can produce most electronic formats including the most standard PDF, TIF, J-PEG, and we can convert to virtually any other format that may be required
Large format scanners are used for drawings or plans, from A3 up to A0 in size and can produce images in black and white, grey scale or full colour.
Microfilm /microfiche/aperture card scanning - microfilming was the original process for reducing the storage of paper documents but this still involved filing and storing in cabinets with manual searching to find a specific file. It also had to be handled with care and stored in a particular climatic environment, otherwise it would deteriorate.
Converting microfilm, microfiche or aperture cards to digital image makes retrieval of files quick and easy. The digital image can then be output into PDF, TIF, J-PEG or virtually any other format required. Maintenance of microfilm readers and printers is no longer necessary, also eliminating all those filing cabinets and freeing up storage space for more productive use.

Books are scanned on flat bed scanners to avoid breaking spines or guillotining so that they are still in their original condition if customers so require.
